No programming is required. Upon start up, the motor will turn one direction, stop, then turn the other direction. It will detect which direction it needs to rotation and automatically set itself. You will need to use your old wiring harness for the installation of this new motor. The wires are clearly labeled as to where they go for a quick and easy installation!
